Empty BowlsEmpty Bowls events can be found around the country raising money to combat hunger in our communities. In Burien, Moshier Art Center potters donate bowls to be filled with soup as a fundraiser for local food banks. A donation gets attendees the opportunity to pick out a beautiful handmade bowl, as well as receive a simple meal of soup, bread, dessert and drink, donated by local businesses. |

Taste of BurienParticipants are immersed in an evening of gastronomic delight as they wander through each venue, sampling signature dishes from the best eateries in town. From savory appetizers to mouthwatering main courses and irresistible desserts, each bite is a testament to the culinary creativity thriving in our community. |

Burien PrideThis celebration of the LGBTQ community was started by Discover Burien to bring the community together for a sign of unity, acceptance and peace. |
Strawberry FestivalThe Burien Strawberry Festival is a family-friendly event that takes place mainly in Town Square Park. The festival includes a variety of attractions, including: Petting zoo, Live Music, Performance, Artists, Crafts, food and beverages, Touch-a-Truck exhibit. |
Father's Day Car ShowA day filled with classic cars, sleek rides, and plenty of family fun. From vintage muscle cars to modern marvels, there's something for every automotive enthusiast to admire. Stroll through rows of meticulously maintained vehicles, chat with proud owners, and snap photos of favorites. |
Mural MastersMural Masters is an esteemed annual graffiti and street art festival held in Burien's Art Alley since 2014. Each year, they bring together over 20 international and local artists to transform our cityscape with stunning large-scale murals, spanning diverse styles and disciplines. Our mission is to cultivate inclusive community spaces, deter graffiti, and foster economic growth through the celebration of urban artistry. |

Music in the ParkA series of free concerts for the community at Lake Burien School Memorial Park. Presented every week from mid-July through mid-August. Music includes a wide range of genres, including Folk, 60s & 70s Favorites, Roots Rock, Zydeco, Latin Jazz, Soul, R&B, Pop, Funk, Afro-Worldbeat, and French Swing. |
Burien Film FestivalBurien Film Festival (BFF) is an annual celebration of Hyperlocal and International short films which takes place in Burien. BFF was founded by John White and Shelli Park in December 2014. The first Burien Film Festival was held in conjunction with the 3rd Annual Burien UFO Festival on April 1, 2015. Entries had to be five minutes in length, include a Man in Black and Alien chase scene, and feature local Burien businesses. |

Arts-A-GlowThe Glow is a free community arts festival hosted by the City of Burien and developed and implemented by Burien city staff and community artists. 2024 will be the 17th year of the festival. Building on the success of last year’s festival, 2024 will feature a new collection of art including projection mapping on buildings, light-art installations, roving performers, spectacles, and hands-on experiences for people of all ages. |
B-Town FiestaThe B-Town Fiesta is a free, family-friendly, primarily outdoor event that celebrates Latinx culture and heritage. The event is held annually in Town Square Park and features a variety of activities, including live music, dancing lessons, karaoke, beer garden, kids zone, food vendors, vendors selling items like clothing and art. |

OktoberfestFor countless years, the Burien Brat Trot has been a fun event for all ages, in support of the Highline Schools Foundation. Our 5k has always been a fast and (mostly) flat run/walk route through Old Burien, and new this year — the start and finish lines will be adjacent to Town Square Park on SW 152nd St. in Burien, site of Burien Oktoberfest! Through a partnership with Discover Burien, Burien Brat Trot and Burien Oktoberfest are together for an epic day of fun! |

Día de los MuertoBurien's Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration is a free, annual community event that honors and remembers ancestors and families. The event is held at the Burien Community Center, and features a variety of activities, including traditional music and dance, arts and crafts, face painting, community altars decorated with marigolds, candles, incense, and other items, storytelling, traditional foods, and lotería, a game similar to bingo. |
